Crete-Monee boys basketball is back with new pieces, a whole new coaching staff, and new transfers coming in, and they're ready to make this season a promising one.

"I'm excited for the season. I love the new pieces we got; the new coaching staff and the transfers we got that came in are promising. The chemistry that we got and that we have been building has been amazing,” said senior Devyn Lindsey.
The team is fueled and ready to face the opponents they faced last year and are set to compete with the competition and prove some of the doubters wrong; seniors this year are more than ready to give it their all for their last year playing high school basketball.
"I'm looking forward to playing against Rich Township and their big, ready-to-face Bloom Township, HF-Homewood Flossmoor (first home game of the season), and our back on the past teams we've lost to; I was injured for the majority of the season last year, so I missed some games, but I'm more than ready for this season, my body feels great, and I'm healthy so I'm ready for my last year," said senior Isaiah Price.
In the Classic Spartan Rams Thanksgiving tournament, the boy's basketball team finished 3-1. They went all the way to the championship game, sadly losing, but showed a quick preview of how they are coming this season. Senior Jyaveion Green and Junior Jayden Preston finished the tournament as Spartan Ram's classic All-Tournament Team.
"The tournament went well; our team played together, and everyone contributed.
I feel like the outcome of the championship game was the truth. The team made careless mistakes to achieve that outcome; it was a good game with an intense environment and great sportsmanship. I feel great. I didn't know I would receive the reward until after the game, and I heard my name, so it was a surprise. I think I earned it, though I put up good numbers throughout the tournament," said senior Jyaveion Green.
The Warriors have the momentum and energy leading up to this season with all the new attachments they got; a lot of CMHS students are more than ready to watch them play in the games ahead.
