Crete-Monee Boys’ Volleyball won on Senior Night over Kankakee, leading 25-10 in the first set and 25-13 in the second set.
“I think it went pretty well. It’s just a little upsetting that the seniors are leaving soon,” Jed Zaldarriaga said.

Boys’ Volleyball Senior Night has been a high-action game for the audience, coaches, and even the players.
“Kankakee were pretty ok, but I am glad we beat them,” Marquise King said.
This win has established the Warriors on a solid footing and should help them stay strong as they finish the year on a positive path.
“The players should keep their heads in the game, and when they are down by points, do not get a loss of encouragement,” Emaryona Codjoe said.
The boys are confident on the court and try to recover even when they make slight errors.
“I would tell them to not lose hope when they make mistakes,” Codjoe said.
The Seniors have proven that they work best when they are confident in themselves. The other players also show true strength and courage to stay active in the game.
“I would say that I am an all-around player, so I play everywhere,” Zaldarriaga said.
The team’s plays are impressive and interesting. Some of the players are seen as more improved from their past skills.
“It is interesting to watch Jaylen Aimiuwu in volleyball because he is an accidental Goat. He is so good, but by accident,” Damola Yusuf said.
The Senior Night Ceremony was one to remember, but people still believed that more things could have happened for the seniors.
“I think it went pretty well; I think the players should have written down something to say about the seniors,” Zaldarriaga said.
All the seniors were very happy to celebrate their last year playing in this high school and wanted to give it the best plays they had ever made.
“I feel like the ceremony was really nice. I liked how Coach Belin said all those things about us, and I liked how we had all of our friends and families come out. Although we should have got more fans, it was worth it,” Yusuf said.
Crete Monee Boys Volleyball still needs to understand that their emotions should not control their actions, but they still prove to everyone that they are great learners.
“I think the team is good. I think they can use more communication with each other to prevent those mistakes,” Codjoe said.
These players have the ability to learn from their past and make better decisions in the future, as well as better choices in their lives.
“You can fix it easily; it is not going to take you that long. Just try your best, and you can do it,” King said.
The seniors have set a great example for the other players to follow, prove to the school their true power, and attempt to make it to state champions.
“I am really excited about next year. I think we have a lot of new upcoming talent,” Zaldarriaga said.
