CMHS upgrading football field

Crete recently added a new scoreboard to the field because it needed an upgrade, but it forgot all about the football field. The football field plays a big role in how the team plays, and they need a good field to play to their best advantage.

“I like the fact that our school is one of the only ones left with grass, but I wish they would upgrade it more so it won’t be lumpy or anything. I like the way the grass feels, and it’s not tough when we fall.” Anson Labranche

Football players want everything to look good, including what they wear, the stands, the field, the scoreboard, etc. A good football field is necessary so the players can avoid injury due to anything with the ground. A good field is needed so everyone can play at their best and put on a show for others.

“We could do better with the field but it’s not terrible compared to others but it could be better.” “I think they’ll upgrade our field in about two years and when they do I hope we get a turf field because it’s better than grass,” Dominic Jackson said.

The football field doesn’t need a big upgrade, but when you see things like the scoreboard getting upgraded, you think they will start to work around the whole area, such as the stands and the field. Crete Monee’s football field could all around look and feel better, both when looking at it and playing on it.

“They spend a lot of money on school, and I think they should balance it out between sports and academics because our school is fine and already big.” Madisyn Boston. Before they start fixing the field, I think they should give us better water in the school, then give us a better field,” Jayvien Pearson said.

Since we just added a new building to the school, it should be the least of our worries, and we should focus on the football field.

“When they start upgrading our football field, they’ll probably spend around 30-50k on everything, which shouldn’t be a lot for them. I hope they do it soon because I don’t like playing on our field that much. We should get a field like Bloom, Kankakee, or Lincoln way east,” Trevion Heard said.

Although the school needs minor adjustments those can wait and the school could focus more on sports and providing students with better and more equipment, better stands and fields, etc.
