By Terrell Henderson Online Editor CMHS Student Government hosted a tailgate for our Homecoming week. Sadly, the first planned date for the tailgate got rescheduled for Oct. 5th due to miscommunications.

Then, due to the rain, the administration moved the tailgate inside the building, but despite all the obstacles, students still got their event.
This year’s tailgate had many activities, such as the mechanic bull, a huge Connect Four, bubble soccer, the bungee sports challenge, a giant Jenga, Connect Three, and airbrush paint.
The mechanical bull was one of the most competitive activities of the night. The highest score to stay on the board was 32 seconds. Many people describe the bull as “crazy” or “fun.”
Many students reverted to using the connect three areas as a basketball rim instead of playing with it. However, several boys did enjoy using that area. Another huge part was the airbrush area, where you can get something airbrushed on you for free.
In the gym, there was bubble soccer, but many people just made teams of red and blue and ran into each other until they could knock each other down, which was pretty funny. After they put the bubble soccer away, the dance team performed an outstanding set that blew everybody away.
The bungee sport challenge was also one of the most competitive activities of the night, as many people had fun yanking their peers back, so they could not make their ball before they could. It had this tug-of-war vibe to it.
“Honestly I feel like the tailgate was good. There were lots of things to attend and the vibes were good. one thing I hated though is the fact there was no food I was looking around for chicken and there was none," said sophomore attendee Kamiya Tisdale.
“I would give the tailgate a 9 out of 10. It was very fun. I loved the games they had and the music they played. I wish we had food, but it was very decent,” said freshman attendee De'Aysia Simmons.
