Field trips are good for learning

Field trips have had a significant impact on the student body. Certain students had discussed that more field trips would be more beneficial to the learning environment.

“There could be more,” said Ayana King. 

Some students believe that more field trips would be more helpful since those (who are not in any clubs could be more involved to be there).

“We are very excited for the Show Choir field trip,” Ayana King said. 

These students experience their talent through and through.

“My favorite field trip was the Chicago trip. It was for the Show Choir and really fun,” said King.

Other student government and boys’ basketball students have also discussed their thoughts on field trips and what they wish to see more on them.

“I think we should go on more educational trips,” said Student Government President Terrell Henderson.

Terrell also stated that having more educational ones would balance more out in CMHS’ favor. That would mean less work would have to be done and involved in the trips. 

“Educational ones would be way better,” said Henderson. 

Terrell discussed that educational ones would be better for him instead of having to do ones involving a lot of paperwork.

“I don’t really dislike any field trips the least. I just think we should go on ones that are more educational, and we don’t have to work in them,” says Terrell.

According to boys basketball player Justin Stewart, field trips are fun and nice to explore. Justin thinks that field trips are “good to endure” because they may have a lot of warmth to them since those students can have fun with their best friends and their teachers.

“On one of the field trips, I went bowling in my old school. I don’t know how to bowl,” Stewart said. 

Stewart thought that trip was boring because if a person didn’t know how to bowl, how would they be generally invested in the field trip?

Another student also stated how they feel about being on field trips.

“It would be fun,” says Rian Henderson.

Henderson said it would be great to experience field trips more often as they would be a fun and wild experience going on a field trip.

“They’re just fun, and we all can just have fun in an interview,” Henderson said.
