On Friday, Sep 20, students got a break to watch the pep rally. The dance team performed, they played musical chairs, and the cheerleaders flipped. The teachers put the entire thing together.

Students would want more input in the pep rally because they feel like they know what they would want to see most. For example, they feel if they could participate in girls vs. basketball would be entertaining. What’s entertaining to the students is important because the pep rally is for them.

“I feel that if there are more students in the pep rally it would be more entertaining,” D’asyah Siller said.

Students feel that phones should be allowed in the pep rally. They feel this way so they could be able to record what is happening in the pep rally, and can look back for memories. They also could record the experience.

“Phones should be allowed in the pep rally so students will be able to record the experience,” Ma'kayla Franklin said. “Phones should be allowed in the pep rallies to catch the moment,” Sincere Garnder said.

Some students say there should be at least three pep rallies, for encouragement to get through the year. Students also say that the pep rally should be longer and not only on half days. Having pep rallies also gives students a break.

“There should be four pep rallies during the year, so students are able to get a break,” Ma'kayla Franklin said.

Students included in the pep rally also feel the pep rally should be more organized. What could make it more organized could be the time management, and to have all the activities planned in order.

“Pep rallies should be more organized, especially for the ones included,” Sincere Gardner said.

Some activities the students wouldn’t want to see would be doing TikTok dances vs teacher doing TikTok dances. They also wouldn’t want to see teachers getting pied in the face.

“Doing TikTok dances vs. teachers would be cringy to see,” D’asyah Siller, and Ma’kayla Franklin said.

Clubs should be in the pep rallies to make it more entertaining. They feel clubs don’t get much recognition. The clubs that should be included are, chess, broad casting, and student government.

“Clubs should be in the pep rally because they don't get included as much as the other activities, like basketball,” Siller said.
