As the years have gone on at Crete-Monee, students come, and students go, but they are forever holding a memory or a part of CMHS with them.

“I started going to the Crete school district in 2013, and I started off at the early learning center,” junior Ryanne Pritchard said, who has spent her whole life in the district. ‘I feel like over the years Crete has given me a lot of character development, it taught me how to handle situations better and to not expect the worst but to prepare for what’s to come.” Senior Logan Rinken believes the high school has changed him for the better, and he has learned to become more patient.
“Two people I would remember after high school are Mr. Nielsen and you, my best friend Taylor,” senior Nykiah German said.
Many students have looked up to Mr. Nielsen as a guide or a safe place where students feel they can run to.
"Definitely Mr. Nielsen because he helped me through a lot and was a really comforting person when I was going through a lot,” Logan said.
CMHS offers all different types of activities to keep students engaged, involved, and busy.
“I like the baseball program that Crete-Monee offers, and the football games at the beginning of the year were pretty fun, and making all these new friends, even in different grades,” freshman Dominik Prichard said.
“Crete really got me through hard times,” German said.
CMHS is more than just a school, but a community, filled with individuals who all have different meanings of what this school means to them. Ryanne Pritchard said that Crete-Monee means so much to her because this is where she comes to better herself or help better someone else, thus bringing good socialization for her.
“Crete-Monee definitely gave me skills for the future, friends, and brought a lot of stress and happiness,” Logan adds.
