Seniors say goodbye during their last week of school.

“I will miss the basketball team when I graduate because we had a good season this year,” said senior Cameron Foster.

Some of our seniors have lower classmen that they will miss because they watched them grow up to be the teenagers they are today. It has been a long run for our seniors, and they finally made it through high school. And their fellow students will miss them when they leave because some of them helped them get on the right track.

“The thing I will miss most about Crete is being able to be around my friends, the people I grew up with, and the teachers I grew bonds with. I’ll also miss playing on the varsity team,” said senior Tay’Shaun Russell.

As an underclassman who knows some upperclassmen, I will definitely miss the ones who were like family to me because they really helped me be brave and actually stick up for myself when I was too scared to. I know it will be an emotional thing for me when they leave high school, but I know they will be good out in the real world, and I wish nothing but the best for them.

“I will definitely miss my little sister that goes here and other lowerclassmen because even though they were younger than me, they actually helped me get through my school days on my bad days,” said senior Jeremiah Coleman.

Even though the seniors’ departure and actual entry into the real world will be sad but great, we can all say that we are very excited to see them walk across that stage. When the time comes, we will all be there cheering them on for completing all these years of high school without giving up.

“As a senior that know some lower classmen and having one that was like a sister to me, I just want to let y’all know high school is gonna be hard a time, but it’s up to you to make sure you don’t give up,” said senior McKenzie Richardson.

So,  I would like to say congratulations to all the seniors for overcoming this big milestone in life, and thank you for being like a mentor and helping us lowerclassmen keep our heads up. Thank you for not letting us give up even when we felt like it.  You all were great people to look up to and showed us the right way to get through high school. I hope you achieve all the goals you  want to in life, and don’t let nobody tell you that you can’t because if you can get through highschool without giving up you can get through anything you want in life but other than that we will miss you guys.
