The homecoming dance stands out as a key tradition where students come together to have fun through music and dancing while enjoying time with friends. It's held after the big homecoming game and ranks among fall's most eagerly awaited nights.
"It brings people together for a fun night!" Leila Thoresen said.
The homecoming dance was a memorable event, featuring an engaging mix of music, lively dancing, and light pastries. Throughout the evening, students filled the dance floor, energized by a DJ who played a diverse selection of songs that kept everyone engaged. Some of the types of songs that were played were rap, romance, party, pop, hip-hop, and dance songs.
Another thing that students thoroughly enjoyed during homecoming night was the food. The cupcakes and small brownies were delicious. These sweet treats provided the perfect complement to an already fun and memorable evening.
While the pastries were enjoyed by many, the music was the highlight, bringing students together and creating a happy environment. The music set the perfect tone for the night, encouraging everyone to relax, have fun, and dance all night.
"I love the music they play and dancing with my home girls," Lilah Leal said.
One of the most looked-forward-to moments that evening was when they announced the Homecoming Court. The crowd was so excited as the names of the winners were called out. As for freshmen, Kamiya Allen and Seth Butler took the titles of freshman princess and prince. Sophomore princess and prince went to Essence Warner and Khristan Moore. The juniors crowned were Jayla Naileer and Tyler Fears as princess and prince. In the senior group, Taleeana Ramirez and Roman Nelson received the princess and the prince. Lastly, let's give a congrats to our Homecoming King and Queen, Jayden Franklin and D'Miya Sallis!
“I'm really honored to be chosen as King, thank you to everyone who voted for me!” King Jayden Franklin said.
Homecoming night was a memorable and exciting experience. The atmosphere was lively, and everything came together to make it an enjoyable evening. Overall, it was a night to remember.
"Homecoming is a night to have fun and share in school spirit. I love both the dance itself and its themes,” Adelaide Brier said.
