NFL Draft brings surprises, good news for Bears fans

In the 2025 NFL draft, for the number one pick in round one, the Tennessee Titans drafted Cam Ward for the first pick of the 2025 NFL draft.

“Everyone suspected that he was getting drafted first from all of the mock drafts and how badly Tennessee needed a good QB,” Jace Harris said.

A lot of people that didn’t get drafted in the first round that were supposed to get drafted were crazy. People like Shedeur Sanders and Cobe Bryant didn’t get drafted until late, and Cobe Bryant went undrafted when he was in the top 10 in CB this year. A lot of teams missed out on a good opportunity with these players when they are probably gonna have breakout years as a rookie. 

“Cobe Bryant going undrafted is wild. He was one of the best CBs in the NCAA last year playing for the Kansas Jayhawks,” Dominic Jackson said.

There are a lot of people hating Shedeur Sanders because people say he is way too cocky, but he was still top 5 in QBs in the NCAA last year. People are saying that’s why he wasn’t drafted until the fourth round because of the way he acted and because he did not attend the draft combine this year. The combine is to show off your skills, so you always go so you can continue showing off your talent so your chance of getting drafted is higher.

” He got cocky because he thought he was already the best, and people didn’t like that’s why he is getting hated on,” Anthony Houston said.

Out of the whole draft, defensively, the Falcons definitely won the draft; they drafted a whole bunch of DBs. One of the DBs they picked was Cobe Bryant. Even though he went undrafted, it was still a good pick for them to get because they really needed some new DBs for their defense. The Falcons also picked a top-ranked edge rusher from Georgia for their 15th pick of the first round. 

“The Falcons getting Cobe Bryant is a steal because nobody picked him up in the draft, and he was top-ranked DB,” Jayvien Pearson said.

The Bears had one of the best drafts they had in years. They picked up every position they needed this year, like another tight end to help Cole Kmet. The Bears’ draft was balanced. We picked up what we needed on offense and defense this year, so they can be contenders this year and hopefully make it to the playoffs.

”The Bears picked up a good wide receiver and tight end, so the QB Caleb Williams can have more options to throw to,” Jayden Lawson said.
