The Senior Class of 2023 is coming up on their final stretch which usually spawns the time of apparel for long lasting memories. This year is the option of clothing items.

Every year the Seniors have usually designated a specific item for their accomplishment of completing their last year here. This year we have Senior shirts with a specific design on the front.

“I think it's really unappealing, I think it isn’t the best possible design we could’ve had. It wasn’t my first pick. We needed people to start working with us more, like an outside source. The art club can draw something that could’ve represented Crete better,” said Addison Gross, Senior.

The options for the shirt designs were I believe very similar in some way. People wanted to see more than the basic design that is usually given.

“If more people came together to find a good design with more on it we could’ve added more, but I am not mad at the decision we ended up with, I think it’s cute,” said Payton Liggins, Senior.

It seems like there was not enough participation throughout the whole Senior class. They ended up with simple colors and a somewhat generic logo.

“I think black was a good choice because that goes with everything, but it could’ve been more incorporated with our senior class. The back could’ve done more since it’s usually really plain in the front. They could’ve gone simple in the front and more emphasis on the back,” said Gross.

There are so many fresh ideas but people forget the budget we are on a lot of the time. They are doing what is possible for the amount of money that can be spent.

“Originally I did want the idea for jerseys for our 23’ year but they were expensive without any words or designs on it,” said Liggins.

But after discussing it with students at Crete, It goes to show that a lot of the majority wanted similar things but the cost is an issue.

“It could have something that incorporates yourself & what you participated in like specific clubs & sports,” said Gross.

Generally speaking, it would appeal to almost everyone since customization is a huge want. Although it feels like not enough people vouched for it.

“I feel like the surveys & the senior vote affiliated things aren’t projected onto the students enough so we don’t end up doing them. It's like a lack of getting back to the students,” said Gross.

It could be a graded assignment but I doubt people would like that idea. There’s no going back now but hopefully, the Senior class settles for what they can get & the memories brought from it.
