Crete-Monee High School has been known for its sports and athletics programs for years. Senior night is special for players and teachers who participate in sports programs. A last night in sports is something to remember because of the memories and emotions that are in the air or on the field that night. Many kids can get emotional and sad, and parents can experience a lack of emotions due to seeing their kids grow up.

“Senior night is a sad night because it may be the last game you ever play for a high school team or might be the last time you see a friend,” soccer player David Flores said.
Many students get sad on this night because of what they feel through the cheers and tears that night.
“I wanted to be excited, but it was hard because my emotions were rushing me and making me nervous,” Flores said.
Students aren’t the only ones affected by this night. Parents also experience emotions when they see their son/daughter’s progress.
“My mom told me that she felt happy for me but got sad knowing that this was the last time I would play a high school game,” Omar Romo said. This is very emotional for many, but that’s why it’s a night to remember. It may be your last, so go out with a bang.”
“You are under a lot of pressure during his game, but it is best to play your best because it may be your last, so you need to make it worth every second,” Cam Wilder said.
Senior night is different from other games because you’re under a lot of pressure, and you may be a senior who wants to win and is your last time playing.
“I felt a different type of air that game. I knew that people were looking up to me, so I had to make it count,” Jojo Poku said.
What can be special to someone about this night is if others feel pressure.
“My favorite part about the whole night is when we win the game or the last talk that coach gives us after the game,” Poku said.
Since this night is so special, coaches and players cherish it and remember it.
“I don’t think the coach will remember us, but I know I will remember this night because of the memories I had with this team and how much it means to me,” Bandit Cache said.
“It’s not what people think about this night; it’s about what we think about it, and that’s all that matters,” Flores said.
