The school has no shortage of students finding new ways to assemble special and authentic outfits. The fashion scene in Crete is vibrant and dynamic, influenced by local and international brands. This unique variety creates an environment where students get creative and experimental. Crete fashion is not just about clothing; it expresses themselves and harnesses their identity. The rich and diverse population molds together and makes a fascinating place for fashion enthusiasts.

“I feel like a lot of newer brands have been popping up a lot more recently, but I still think it’s nice how older brands are still around, like Nike and Adidas,” Zariyah Mitchell said, implying that older brands are still viable today.

This balance between new and old is what gives Crete’s fashion scene its unique character.

“I think social media is a big factor in the way people make their styles because social media can influence a lot of people, and so can the celebrities,” Zariyah Mitchell said. Indicating that people can use social media to find out about fashion trends

Many students use fashion to express themselves and show their personality and style. This key factor brings diversity into the high school.

“When I think of having my own style, I think about what fits me and what I like to wear, but having your own style brings variety to the outfits in Crete, and people mix and match it nicely so it can all fit together,” Lauren Glover said, inferring that most high school students have their own diverse style.

Friend groups can be a main cause of style changing up over time as some students wear or try and outfit on with their own tweaks to it

“I feel like friend groups can affect how people dress by someone saying a material is nice or even trying to get a smaller brand more known,” Jason Toles said.

Being up to date is important when trying to keep up with new trends. This could affect the different types of content seen on social media.

“I stay updated on what’s the newest clothing trends usually all the time with me being so caught up it just shows it to me,” Lauren Glover said

Crete diversity makes it a welcoming place for wanting to show off who you are through clothing.

“I think Crete is a great place when it comes to people knowing how to put outfits together and a very fashionable environment,” Toles said.
