Crete Monee Homecoming is a tradition is a great opportunity to celebrate school spirit with dancing, music, and court announcements
During the event there was a photo taking area, desert section and DJ booth. Many students were hoping for these things.
“I hope there is good music like R&B , rap and hip hop and also good snacks,” Janiya Davis, said. Seeing that this year's homecoming met students' expectations the dance was a big hit.
A great amount of memories were made, students made numerous videos, pictures and shared after thoughts.
¨Homecoming was [like] a movie. I genuinely enjoyed myself,¨ said sophomore Marisa Marbury. Students also had opportunities to meet new people and socialize. “Im hoping to be more involved there and create bonds with new people," said Nakayla Dawson.
In closing of the dance, homecoming court nominees and winners were announced. Winners were River Wells for freshman class, Isla Mclure for sophomore class, Keyshon James and Lauren Glover for junior class, and Josh Hill and Mikayla Henson for senior class.
“I had to get a bunch of papers signed, the process was pretty long but I enjoyed it," Junior Lauren Glover said. Another step that was taken by many of the students was making flyers and posters. ¨ I made cute flyers to put around the school and also handed out candy¨ said river wells.
High school is a place to make memories with your friends, homecoming was one of those events you wanted to make memories at. Some of those memories were made by Kalise Allen who said. ¨ I looked forward to going with my boyfriend for the first time” Kalise Allen said. ¨I wanted to be more involved with the homecoming and making new bonds while I'm there."
Overall this year's homecoming was great, and many students loved it and had a great time. The expectations made by the students were met. When it all came together it was beautiful which many students hoped for. ¨ I can´t wait until all of our hard work comes to life," Terrell Henderson said.
