CMHS hosted a talent show on May 3, and the top three contests said the experience was fun. Rejon Strong won first place with an original song, Jeremiah Sutherland won second, and the group Bieber Fever (Kaylee Hallberg, Dashaun Richmond, Quela Blair, and Kimora Brodanes) won third.

The talent show winners pose on stage in the auditorium.
People were invited to the talent show by invite or perfect attendance. There were many songs, poems, dancing, and comedy.
The audience was active and supportive throughout every performance by clapping and cheering on the contestants. Each of the contestants was given a gift for their participation.
Senior Rejon Strong said he wanted to participate in the talent show because he loves to perform and let people hear his music.
"I was very nervous because I always feel like I am unprepared for the performance. I did think that I would get top three, and then I got first place, and I was very satisfied with it," said Strong.
Strong said when he was practicing, he was most focused on his vocals and his cords.
Strong's advice to those who want to participate in the talent show next year would be to "have fun and do your best.

Senior Rejon Strong won first place in the talent show for the second year in a row.
The way the talent show impacts Strong's future by inspiring him to keep going and try to do better things.
Strong also shared that his passion for the guitar started when he was eight years old. After his win, he celebrated by getting ice cream.
Junior Dashuan Richmond was in the group Biber Fever with his friends. He said they prepared by practicing dancing at the park.
Richmond said he and his friends only had a little time to practice due to everyone's schedules.
"I wasn't nervous. I like performing in front of a crowd. I've been doing it since I was in the third grade said Richmond."
He said he wasn't expecting to get the top three. He didn't think he and his friends would place at all.
Junior Quela Blair said she did the talent show for fun and her friends inspired her. She said they only practiced twice, once at Heritage Park and at the audition.
Blair said she didn't think she and her group would get third place or place but is satisfied with it.
"Well, I was kinda nervous because I was performing in front of people I know, but I wasn't that nervous because I perform a lot for cheer," said Blair.
Blair said for those who want to compete in the talent show, "Just do it. It's fun, and don't think about it too much."
The audience made her confident during her performance because of their input.
Senior Kaylee Hallberg said one of her friends said she wanted to do something big for the senior year so they did the talent show.
Hallberg said her group should have first place, but you should do it for those who want to do the talent show next year.
Winning the talent show "makes me wanna do more things in college," Hallberg said.
Senior Kimora Brodnac said she did the talent show because it was her senior year. She and her friends practiced the week before the audition.
"We practiced for an hour and got it down, and we just auditioned and got into the talent show," said Brodanc.
Her advice for those who want to perform in the talent show is that people will cheer for you, whether good or bad.
