Juniors have expressed their feelings for the first quarters. Some are having mixed feelings so far about their junior year, but the majority are having a good start of the year.

Students got their first report card of the year. Many students are doing well. Juniors aren’t feeling any pressure yet, but many students have stated they’re nervous about the ACT test.

“At the start of junior year, I thought it was going to be hard off the bat, but it’s going smoothly. I’m enjoying it so far. Teachers are making me a little nervous when it comes to ACT. I definitely feel the pressure, especially as time goes on and as the month passes on,” Junior Marcus Brown said.

Seniors gave their advice to juniors on how to make their year go smoothly and confidently so that they can have a great year.

“What I would say to the junior class right now and the upcoming juniors is to stay on top of your priorities because the minute you start to fall behind, it’s going to make it harder to catch up and then be on top of the work that you already have,” Senior Iyanna Rhodes said.

Seniors stated what their hardest classes were in their junior year and what was their easiest.

“For me in my junior year, my hardest class had to be trigonometry because it’s like all math mixed together, and sometimes it was hard to keep track of all my work while still learning new stuff,” Mya Franklin said.

“The easiest class my junior year had to be biomedical science because it was on a topic I love to learn about, and what made it even better and interesting was that the teacher was cordial with me, so if I ever had a problem or was stuck on something, the teacher would help me out,”  Senior Kobe Dominique said.

Juniors stated what would make their junior year a difficult year and time for them.

“We go to school from 7:00 to 2:00, and then I do after-school activities during the year, and then on top of that, I work a job, so that can make my junior year go by stressful based on my energy from doing that,” said junior Rachel Lindsey.
