Vaping is most likely one of the most hazardous things that a young adult can do at this age.“Vaping in school is not okay for school. It’s not the time or place. It’s not good for your health, and the majority of the kids in school are underage,” English teacher Mr. Nielsen said.

Vaping is just really bad for the human body in general. Kids can get highly addicted to nicotine because of the high levels of dopamine getting released in your brain that is only temporary for twenty seconds, which will make a person feel good, according to Health and Social Services.
“I think vaping is worse than smoking because all the nicotine is really addictive, even to young adults,” Kalil Hawkins said
There are also lethal long-term effects from vaping and smoking that can damage your heart, lungs, and brain. And if the body keeps consuming these lethal products like nicotine, it could cause heart attacks and strokes.
“Also, some long-term effects are lung cancer, and it could lead to other addictions like drinking alcohol and possibly drugs,” Matthew Smith said.
All the chemicals in cigarettes make them really harmful because secondhand smoke could harm children and others around you, and that could really mess up a student’s body and the overall shape of their body.
“Cigarettes have gunk, and you blow out a tube that affects the area and the people around you. Secondhand smoke is really bad and increases your chances of getting lung cancer or worse,” Mr Nielsen said.
“I’d say 20 present has either tried it or is still in the process of smoking e-cigarettes,” Grace Janecko said.
Vaping puts your youth at risk with ever-lasting health issues, especially at school, which also puts you at risk of getting expelled or worse.
According to Jaliyah Sproull, it is not appropriate to smoke or vape in a school environment. It is a school setting, and you can impact the others around you negatively, leaving a person in medical care.
Vaping is really addictive, and it can take a really long time to quit. This process can take weeks, , months, or even years to stop. The withdrawal feelings can make quitting vaping quite irritating or frustrating, and a person will be uncomfortable for a couple of days, according to the Department of Health and Aged Care.
Vaping can have a negative effect on your life in school as it can affect your academic performance and overall well-being. The nicotine and chemicals in vaping products can lead to major addiction, making it harder to focus on schoolwork.
“If kids are unable to vape during school hours, the withdrawal will really hinder your ability to participate in school activities fully,” Janecko said.
While vaping eliminates some of the harmful chemicals found in traditional cigarettes, it still contains nicotine and potentially some other lethal substances.
“Vaping is not safe. There are serious risks at stake, particularly to the possibility of passing away or having large amounts of metals in your blood and or organs,” Aaden Cole said.
Smoking e-cigarettes on school campuses overall can be a major concern as it can lead to addiction among young students, leading to a heavy reliance on cigarettes, which is even worse than vaping.
“School should be a place where students can feel comfortable and safe, not for the promotion of addictive substances and potentially dangerous habits like vaping,” Jaelen Norries said.
