The Warriors won their first playoff game against Quincy 73-35, setting a school record for the most points scored in a playoff game. Dominic Jackson scored four touchdowns in the wildcat formation, which increased all of the warriors' momentum.

¨We were so hyped, we scored a lot of points thanks to both sides of the ball. I think we went crazy, YK, Dom scored four touchdowns on them for him to play defense too, that's insane," sophomore Bryce Spencer said.
Crete-Monee scored four offensive touchdowns in the first half on just 13 plays. They also returned a kickoff for a touchdown (78 yards) and returned a fumble (32 yards) for a score. To end the game, Crete scored three more touchdowns in the final 7 minutes to pull away.
¨I mean, 73 points, we were having a field day with those boys.¨ Our first half was great. We had to adjust a little on defense, but both halves were great in my opinion,¨ said sophomore Isaiah Jordan.
Many people believe that the warriors can go all the way to the championship, the way they are playing.
This year, Crete-Monee has dominated; they won the conference championship against Kankakee, they went 6-0 in their conference, and are currently 7-2. Crete believes they can fight for the championship.
"We will make it to the championship. We just need to keep working and come to practice, that's all. If we can keep playing like this,¨ Sophomore Eball Cole said. ¨Oh yeah, we most definitely can go all the way if we play like this.”
Many believe this is the breakout year, and many believe that if they keep it up, they can go all the way. People shout out to Coach Konecki for leading the team so far and pushing them to do their best on the field.
“Yeah, the first two games, our defense was not good. I shout out Coach Lee and Turay for making the right adjustments to our defense because we were kinda struggling at first, but thank god it's fixed and we can show our full potential,¨ sophomore Izzy Jordan said.
The running backs have the most impact on the Crete-Monee offense right now. Many people believe the running backs were what topped off that 73-35 win against Quincy. If you can run the ball for five-plus yards, that gives the team momentum and better chances of scoring.
´´We definitely have some good receivers, but our running game is tough. We got Stonewall, Treyvon, Babygee, Semaje, and even Dom. These players are the ones starting our momentum off. Especially Stonewall, he scored almost every time he touched the ball. Junior," Jackson said.
