Every time the Warriors and Kankakee play, everyone is excited to come out and watch the game; there is always a big turnout. There are two upcoming basketball games between the Warriors and Kays. On Friday, Feb 9, the Warriors played at Kankakee High School, and on Thursday, Feb 15, the Kays come to CMHS.

"I feel like we are going to win. We have much support going into the game," said senior and shooting guard Jyaveion Green.
"That is a game I've been looking forward to all season, since last season when we played them on senior night. I'm excited, ready to play, and get another win," said senior and point/shooting guard Tay'Shun Russell.
Last season, the Warriors lost to the Kays at Kankakee. The Warriors won the last time they played each other during CMHS' senior night.
The Warriors record this season is currently 12-13. "This season's been okay, I feel like more could've been done," said sophomore and point guard Zyheir Gardner. "Decent, but there is room for improvement," said junior and guard Jayden Preston.
"Yes, I believe the coach this year is more skilled than last year, as well as the players," said Preston. "More skilled and well-rounded team. We have more coaches, more eyes, and ears on the bench," said Russell.
This season, Crete Monee had a lot of new basketball transfers, but that hasn't stopped the chemistry between the boys.
"It's surprisingly good because we have a lot of transfers," said Gardner. Zyheir is one of the new transfers this season. "Chemistry is way better because we've had more time to hang out. Especially since many transfers came before fall league," said Green.
"To win, we need to play together, listen to the coaches, and follow the game plan," said Gardner. "Come out stronger and faster," said Green.
According to Preston, the team must play smart together and rebound.
"Close games, play hard, fight the whole game," said Russell.
Initially, I said Crete comes and shows out for their athletics.
"Positive energy," said Green. "Energy and stay in tune," said Russell. "Undying support," said Gardner.
The Warriors record this season is 12-13. The Warriors are also 5th in the conference. On Feb 6, the Warriors played Bloom Township at CMHS for senior night. After that, there are three games left.
