Crete Monee Warriors just celebrated their 4th win last Friday against the Thornridge falcons with a score of 66 to 0 on our homecoming.
“It was just too easy,” Said Lynel Billups-Williams, the starting receiver for the Warriors.
“Even though it was a not-so-fun game, I still had fun performing in front of our home crowd”. “Very live,” Said Lynel Billups-Williams.
The environment was very festive and everyone looked to be having a great time and enjoying themselves. Although it was a blow out the crowd still roared every time a play was made by the warriors.
The Warrior defense held the falcons to 0 points and no more than 5 first downs.
“Give us some competition,”said Tyrell Hester, the starting middle linebacker for the Warriors.
Tyrell also started and ended the game with a no-handed backflip to show how pumped he was and up to spirit!
By the end of the first quarter, the score was 45 to 0! By the start of the second quarter, the back-ups were all in and taking advantage of their opportunities.
The coaches didn't let up either when the second string entered the game, and the first string turned into coaches. As a starter on offense, I can say it wasn't the funnest game but I still enjoyed myself.
Throughout the entire game, the band played song after song and the dance team continued to dance and hype up the crowd. The cheerleaders were loud and very supportive. By the end of the game, it wasn't that much interesting because of the score, but the crowd was still into it.
Soon as the game concluded, the lights turned off and fireworks appeared in the air and people began recording. There was a cameraman present and filming every moment of the night, so while the fireworks were shooting into the air, the football team was taking pictures and being recorded.
“Great game, enjoy the win, on to the next,”The head coach says in the huddle after the game.
The team gets a break and heads towards the crowd to finish celebrating with family and friends.
More pictures were being taken, and players were getting filmed for a little extra content. After that everyone exited the arena and into the parking lot and enjoyed the win a little longer with each other and eventually all the fun ended. The team got one last break in the locker room and everyone headed home.
