The Crete-Monee High School Math Team is led by math teacher Mr. Noble. The team travels to different schools to compete against other high schools.

It may not seem fun because it is math, and not everybody favors it. It challenges the brain to solve different problems and find their solutions. You also have to either learn new things or renew the skills.

Competition is prepared with different packets for each level. Freshmen get packet D, sophomores get packet C, and so on. Each packet is filled with about 16 questions for two different subjects.

Each subject is what that grade level is learning, even if you are ahead in math by a year or two. So freshmen get algebra, sophomores have geometry, juniors have trigonometry, and seniors have calculus.

There is one group called fresh-soph, which consists of both freshmen and sophomores. It combines both algebra and geometry and has 15 questions that the group figures out together.

The club meets after school from 2:05-4:00 to practice math and mingle with one another. For the actual meets/competitions, they meet after school on most likely Tuesdays, and hop on the bus and grab some food.

That is math team, and has several high schoolers participating, and doing all their best to win against the other schools. They do their best to have fun, and also get free donuts for participating.
