Golfing was back in session this fall. In a recent interview with Head Coach Mr. Nielsen, he shared a lot of good information about his team and their goals and achievements.

“We had two students who qualified for sectionals this year. We had a player shoot a hole-in-one during the first meet and many more upcoming opportunities. I want them to fall in love with the sport and continually build on the skills and techniques presented during practice. I would also hope to expand the team with more future members,” said Mr. Nielsen

For Mr. Nielsen this was an exhilarating moment for him and his team, even though Mr. Nielsen and the players never disappointed the representation of themselves. Not only did Mr. Nielsen have many good comments about his players, but so did the students.

¨My team is very competitive, and we always work together and respect each other as well,” said Terrance Blevin, who shot an 86 in his last meet.

This would state why Terrance Blevins was very close to qualifying for state by only seven strokes and was one of the seven freshmen who played at the sectional meet.

Bren Milburn is also a very competitive golfer. Bren states his team has accomplished many goals, and he hopes that one day he wishes to become a ¨top star.”

¨My team is very connective, and not only do we play golf, but we have fun as well. We also build relationships with each other to succeed together and build up to many goals for the future,” Milburn said.
