The Crete-Monee Cavaliers Show Choir performed holiday songs and dances to this year’s successful Cocoa and Carols concert.

Lawson said the show went well but had a few ups and downs overall, but it was a great turnout.
“I wouldn’t have changed any of the songs. I really liked all of the songs. Each song had a different feel to it,” Lawson said.
One of the Show Choir directors, Ms. Mhyre, said both of the choirs did terrific. The process wasn’t easy, but everyone worked hard.
“If I can change anything for next year, I would say I would like to see more students performing in all of the numbers.” She would like to see involvement with all of the choirs,” Ms. Myhre said.
Mr. Alifantis, another director for the Show Choir at Crete-Monee, said his favorite song was “White Winter Hymnal” by Pentatonix because all the choirs performed together.
Senior Katie Johnson is a dance captain for the Show choir, and her favorite song was “Jenny Rebecca” by Carol Hall, sung by Oliva Newton-John and Barbra Streisand.
Johnson said the show went great overall, and people told her everyone did a fantastic job.
She said she wouldn’t have changed anything about the dancing but “More time on specific parts of the dancing.”
Dance Captain Rhyen Robinsons said her favorite song was It’s Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas by Meredith Willison.
“The show went well compared to my other years,” Robinson said.
She said the process wasn’t easy due to the Christmas show taking time away from practicing the other show, and it was hectic.
Mr. Mohr, director of the Show Choir, said his favorite song was the closer “White Winter Hymnal” by Pentatonix. He said the show went great this year, probably one of the best.
“The only thing I would have changed would have been to put it on early so we could get to our performance in downtown Crete,” Mr. Mohr said.
He said they had ordered some decorations but didn’t come until after the show. Next year, he would like to add some skits and new songs to the show to add some spice. The show was successful, and family, friends, and some staff had a great time.
