Under the bright lights of a high school playoff game, Dominic Jackson didn't just play; he took over, turning preparation into performance and effort into dominance when his team needed him most.

“My most memorable performance was our first playoff game, where I had four touchdowns on 12 carries for 150 yards, and it felt great to help lead my team in such an important moment,” Dominic Jackson said.

That performance reflected the kind of season Jackson has put together on both sides of the ball. With 8 total touchdowns on offense and 57 total tackles on defense, he has become one of the most impactful players on the team with reliable influences along the way.

“My biggest influence has been my family and an early coach who taught me discipline and pushed me to always stay consistent,” Jackson said.

The consistency Jackson talks about is something coaches notice every day. Whether it's practice or game night, his effort rarely changes, and that mentality has helped him become a leader within the program.

“Dominic is one of the hardest-working players I’ve coached. He doesn’t take days off, whether it’s practice or game day; he’s always locked in and giving full effort,” assistant coach Morgan Tip said.

Jackson’s production backs up that praise. On offense, he has rushed for 250 yards and 6 touchdowns on only 31 carries while also contributing as a receiver and blocker when needed.

“Dom works harder than anyone I know. He’s always putting in extra work, even when nobody’s watching,” said teammate Anson Labranche.

That work ethic has helped Dominic grow beyond football stats. Over time, the sport has shaped his mindset and helped him build confidence that turns to leadership on and off the field.

“Sports have shaped me by building my confidence, teaching me discipline, and helping me grow into a leader," Jackson said.

His leadership shows in the way he competes every snap. Defensively, Jackson has recorded 24 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, over 20 quarterback pressures, and multiple blocked kicks this season.

“In practice, he’s just as intense as he is in games. He competes on every rep and pushes others to match that level,” coach Tip said.

That intensity is one reason teammates trust Dominic during important moments. Whether the team needs a defensive stop or a big offensive play, Jackson has consistently delivered under pressure.

“I stay motivated by wanting to improve every day and by not wanting to let my teammates down because I know doing the best for me is also doing the best for them,” Jackson said.

That mindset has helped  become a major part of the team's identity. Coaches believe this discipline and consistency help set the standard for everyone around them.

“Dominic is a big part of our identity. His effort, discipline, and consistency are a big addition  for our success,” coach Tip said.

Beyond numbers, Jackson’s energy impacts the entire sideline. Big plays from him shift momentum and give the team confidence in difficult situations.

“When he makes a big play, it lifts everybody. You can feel the momentum shift,” Labranche said.

His teammates say that energy stays consistent regardless of the score. Whether the team is winning or trailing, Jackson approaches every moment with the same level of focus/effort.

“He brings a lot of energy every day. Whether we’re down or up, he keeps the same intensity," Labranche said.

Even without being the loudest player, Jackson earned respect through his actions. Younger players watch how he prepares and competes as an example of what leadership should look like.

“He leads by example. He’s not always the loudest, but his actions speak. Younger players look at how he works and try to follow that,” Tip said.

That leadership continues to push the team. Teammates believe his work ethic raises the intensity of everyone around him during both practices and games.

“Dominic always pushes the team to compete harder. When we see how much effort he gives. It makes everybody want to match it,” teammate Trevon Williams said.

Jackson’s impact comes from doing the small things that help teams win. Along with touchdowns and sacks, he contributes through blocking, hustle plays, and effort that may not always appear in the stat sheet.

“He’s the type of player who does all the little things right. He never complains and always puts the team first,” Williams said.

That team-first mentality has helped Jackson earn the trust of coaches and teammates alike. His consistency and effort continue to set the tone for the program.

“In practice, he goes full speed every rep, and that energy spreads through the whole team,” Williams said.

Looking ahead, Jackson remains focused on improving and reaching the next level of football. His goals reflect the same discipline and motivation that have shaped his success so far.
