The PBIS Bash is a fun in-school event that gives students a chance to celebrate positive behavior, enjoy activities and food, and spend time with their classmates. The event recognizes students for making good choices and contributing to a positive school environment.

“I’d say last year was a lot more exciting than this year, but there were a lot more people, and this year it’s a lot less stressful, and I'm happy about that,” Tarique Seymour said.

This event is more than just a fun school event. It reminds students that their actions matter. Positive behavior can include showing respect, helping classmates, listening to teachers, being responsible, participating in school, and making an effort to improve.

The celebration also gives students a break from the stress of classes, homework, tests, and other responsibilities. Students can enjoy themselves while celebrating their accomplishments throughout the school year.

“I think it’s like when they see other people doing the right thing; it makes people want to be better role models and uphold a good reputation at CMHS,” Isaiah Clemens said.

The event also emphasizes that students do not have to be perfect to be recognized. Everyone makes mistakes, but what matters is learning from those mistakes and making better decisions moving forward. Improvement and effort are important parts of positive behavior.

The PBIS Bash can also help bring students together. Students who may not normally spend time with one another will have a chance to participate in activities, enjoy food, and create memories with their classmates.

Everyone was able to enjoy fun games and social activities, including face painting, video games, sports, and board games.

“I’d love to hear students’ suggestions. More games and friendly competitions could be fun, along with activities for students who prefer something quieter,” Ms. Engemann said.

This celebration allowed the school community to come together instead of staying in separate groups. Additionally, with the grand opening, students were required to bring Warrior Gold to buy miscellaneous items at the Warrior Stand during any lunch mods.

For Isaiah, one of the most exciting parts of the event is the food.

“I’m a really snack/food guy, and I like working for what I like doing the most,” Clemens said.

While the snacks and activities may seem like simple rewards, they represent something bigger: students’ efforts are noticed and appreciated.

The event started on Sept. 30 during lunch. Teachers and staff also played an important role in making the PBIS Bash possible. Their support helped create an environment where students felt encouraged to participate and improve.

The PBIS Bash was about more than food, activities, or getting out of class. It celebrated students’ effort, improvement, and positive choices.

It also boosted overall morale and improved the school environment for both students and staff.
