Students live it up at Live Nation

High School Nation is known for providing public schools with gear and software needed to kickstart an on-campus recording studio. They were planning on visiting only five schools and we got lucky enough to be one.

On Sept. 18, Crete-Monee High School was packed full of amazing performances, free giveaways, a chill-out center, and mini-games.

“This was all due to Ms. Triche,” said Mr. Fitzgerald. “All the credit is due to her.”

Ms. Triche worked with Mr. Fitzgerald to stay in contact with the members of High School Nation and provided the necessary support needed to make sure everything went off with little to no problems.

Wherever you looked, there was something entertaining going on for you and your friend to do.

The event was sponsored by brilliant companies such as the movement Truth, Takis, Guitar Center, and Hollister. These companies set up special events and activities for students’ entertainment.

These events and activities included Truth’s prizes stand, Takis handing out their snack products, Guitar Center giving free music lessons, Hollister’s little chill-out center, dance lessons, and a ball pit for groups.

“Felt like we were in the movie Grease because the movie ended in a carnival and we had one of our own,” said Ms. Duffy.

Ms. Duffy did not know what to expect when she found out a concert was being held at the school. Yet her expectations for the concert was not only met, but were blown away.

“Coolest thing I have seen happen to the student body for all of my years of teaching here,” said Duffy, concerning the amazing performances and bands that played during the day.

Duffy and Fitz shared the same opinions concerning their views on the concert and student behavior.

They were ecstatic by both the superb behavior of the student body and the incredible live concert production.
